Andreas Schmitt's profile

Born in Western Germany he started flyfishing in small trout streams of the local Rhenish Uplands. Since 2009 he has been living in Southern Germany’s beautiful Franconia. There the focus lies on the river Tauber with its tributaries and some hidden streams in the Forest of Odes. He is really into sneaking through the bushes alongside a tiny trout filled creek in oder to look for hidden treasures.

At a Casting-Clinic his teaching preferences are adhesive casts (single- and double-handed) and presentation casts for tricky creek situations. If you have questions regarding fishing tackle, tactics or methods on tiny overgrown waters he is the one to talk to.

Another important passion is casting two-handed rods – mainly on Scandinavian salmon rivers. At a Casting-Clinic he instructs the advice seeking client primarily about the Scandinavian speycasting and underhand casts. But classical speycasting techniques can be requested as well as overhead casting.

With Andreas one will find a sympathetic ear for any question or wish. If you are looking for practical advice on your personal water or just want to chat about fly patterns and fishing tactics you only need to ask. Born in 1983 in Bonn he now works as a psychologist at a clinic in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Languages: German native speaker, English fluently, Spanish advanced.
